Alec Trumble is a composer, electronic musician, and producer who blends a background in jazz and composition with a modern, computer-centered approach to performance and production. He studied Jazz/Commercial Music Composition at Towson University (percussion focus), working under Thomas Ciufo and Dave Ballou. His compositions for dance productions by Vincent Thomas have been presented at venues including The Theater Project Baltimore and the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. In 2014, he received the Towson University Music Department Talent Award for Highway Circuits.
Alec has also worked professionally in AV and audio engineering for well over a decade. In his free time, he writes and produces original music and regularly live-streams loop-based improvised performances. Music is the throughline—he writes it now, and he’ll be writing it for life.
